Hookah Herald - The First Post - What Is A Hookah and How To Set Up Your Own Hookah

Hi Folks, this is the first Post to my new Blog "Hookah Herald". The "Hookah Herald" will deliver you interesting information and help by experienced Hookah Users about Hookahs.

For all that didn't knew: A Hookah is a water pipe which is used to smoke mostly fruity tobacco. The Hookah originated in the Arabian World and becomes more popular every day in the Western Civilization. "Social smoking" is common in the Arab World. When the first smoker is finished he passes the hose to the next one or puts it onto a clean table. A tradition in the Arabian World is to gently tap your smoking friend with the hose on the back of his hand, if you are going to pass it.

Hookahs are becoming very popular and really aren't expensive. You doesnt even have to invest 50$ for a Hookah.

The Hookah works by indirect heat and water filtration. A Hookah consists of a Bowl, a Plate, a Body and a Water Jar (filled with Water). The Bowl is going to be filled with tobacco that you can buy in mostly every Hookah store. A common technique is to put aluminium foil around the Bowl. Put very tiny holes into the foil and get your hot coal on it (preferably natural coal, like coconut coal). Your Hookah is now ready to be smoked.
